August Lass (born August 16, 1903 in Tallinn , Estonia Governorate ; † November 27, 1962 there ) was an Estonian football goalkeeper of German-Baltic origin. With the Estonian national soccer team he took part in the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris .

Career

Soccer player

August Lass began his career with JK Tallinna Kalev , with whom he won the Estonian championship for the first time in his career in 1923. Later he should be active for the Tallinna Jalgpalliklubi , where he moved in 1925 and could celebrate two more championship titles.

In July 1921, August Lass made his debut in the Estonian national team against Sweden at the age of 17 years and 341 days . Three years later he took part in the Summer Olympics in Paris with the selection of Estonia . The last of a total of 21 international matches, in which he played four times as team captain, he completed in September 1928 against Latvia in Riga .

Life

August Lass was married to Ariadna Lass (née Pung) and had two sons. August Lass died in 1962 at the age of 59. He was buried in the Rahumäe cemetery in his hometown of Tallinn.
