August Laumer

August Laumer (* 1970 in Falkenstein ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

After graduating from the Johannes-Turmair-Gymnasium in Straubing in 1989 , he studied Catholic theology at the universities of Regensburg and Freiburg im Breisgau. In 1994/95 he completed a postgraduate course in adult education at the Munich University of Philosophy . In 1995/96 the pastoral course of the diocese of Regensburg followed and in 1996 the ordination of priests . From 1996 to 2001 he was chaplain in Burglengenfeld and Straubing and from 2001 to 2010 parish vicar in Regensburg and Thalmassing-Wolkering . In 2005 he was at the Catholic Theological Faculty of the University of Regensburg Dr. theol. PhD. In 2009/2010 he completed his habilitation in practical theology and was appointed private lecturer . In 2011 he became junior professor for pastoral theology at the Catholic Theological Faculty of the University of Augsburg . Since 2016 he has been the professor for pastoral theology.
