August Nopper

August Nopper (born March 18, 1890 in Kollnau , Freiburg im Breisgau district , † October 10, 1960 in Emmendingen ) was a German politician ( USPD / KPD / SPD ). He was a member of the People's Day of the Free City of Danzig .

Life

Nopper attended elementary school and completed an apprenticeship in coppersmiths . He worked as a coppersmith in Danzig .

Nopper joined the Independent Social Democratic Party of Germany (USPD) in 1919 and switched to the Communist Party of Germany (KPD) in January 1921. In June 1923 he became a member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD). From May 1920 to November 1923 Nopper was a member of the Danzig People's Day.

In 1945 Nopper first fled Danzig to Aurich . In 1946 he settled in Emmendingen, where he was the owner of a tin and installation business.
