August Sorge was the name of a bookstore and publisher in Osterode am Harz in the 19th century .

history

In 1831 August Sorge took over the bookstore from Carl August Hirsch in Osterode. In 1833 he published historical-topographical news and notes from the city of Osterode am Harz for the first time in the publishing house of the Sorgeschen Buchhandlung Renners . The editions appeared in 1977 as a reprint under the title Chronik von Osterode am Harz. News and notes from the city of Osterode am Harze. In 1856 the August Sorge company sold a Prospectus Pierers Universal Lexicon of the Present and the Past .

Seat of A. concern Buchhandlung GmbH which was later Gotmarstraße 1 in Gottingen , then there as Eulenspiegel bookstore could be found.
