August Trostbach

August Johann Friedrich Trostbach (born August 29, 1811 in Gotha ; † June 26, 1877 in Geraberg ) was a German politician , pastor and writer .

Life

Born as the son of a master brewer, Trostbach studied Protestant theology in Jena after attending grammar school in Gotha . During his studies he became a member of the Jena fraternity in 1830 . After his studies he became a teacher in Waltershausen and founded a small private school in 1837 . Until 1841 he worked as a teacher at several private schools in Gotha. In 1841 he became a deacon in Waltershausen, in 1856 pastor in Cabarz , Nonnenberg and Fischbach , in 1863 pastor in Burgtonna , in 1872 pastor in Gräfentonna .

In 1850 he became a member of the Gotha Parliament .
