August Wilhelm von Dehn (* 1716 ; † 1776 ) had been Danish Baron von Dehn from 1768 on the Fideikommiss Majorat Ludwigsburg on the Schwansen peninsula in the Duchy of Schleswig, which he inherited from his uncle in 1771, and holder of the Danebrog Order .

Life

August Wilhelm von Dehn was Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel court marshal and knight of the Danebrog Order and married to a Baroness von Winterfeld . He inherited the Ludwigsburg estate near Eckernförde from Friedrich Ludwig von Dehn (1697–1771, Danish governor of Schleswig and Holstein until 1768 ), who had expanded the estate from 1742 to 1744 into a stately home. August Wilhelm was the only male bearer of the name von Dehn and inherited the estate with the stipulation that if he should die without descendants (which was also the case), the eldest daughter of his half-brother, Johann Friedrich Christian von Dehn (1714–1766, Danish Chamberlain and Colonel), Sophie Charlotte Friederike Freiin von Dehn, heiress of Fideikommiss .
