August von Gemmingen (1830-1892)
August von Gemmingen (born August 14, 1830 , † February 29, 1892 in Karlsruhe ) was the Chamberlain of the Grand Duke of Baden and a knight of the Prussian Order of the Crown .
Life
He was a son of Ludwig Friedrich Wilhelm von Gemmingen (1794-1858) and Emma Sebastiane Karoline von Gemmingen-Bonfeld (1804-1865). In the Franco-Prussian War of 1870/71 he made a name for himself in caring for the sick and wounded, for which he received several awards.
