Auguste-Emile-Marie-Jean-Armand Baesens (born December 14, 1879 , † 1957 ) was a lieutenant general in the Belgian armed forces .

Life

Baesens completed an officer training and after its completion found various uses in the army . On December 26, 1936, he was promoted to major general. After he was retired, he was called back to active military service at the beginning of the attack by the German Wehrmacht in 1940. He was then commander of the artillery of the II Corps and was finally lieutenant general .
