The Belgian Army represents the army component of the Belgian armed forces .

To make the deployment options more flexible, the army formations are divided into the three operational areas of combat, combat support and operational support groups:
The command land components (COMOPSLAND) are subordinate (as of 2019) to a motorized brigade, a regiment of special forces and other support troops :

The Belgian army has u. a. over:
- 242 Mowag Piranha IIIC 8 × 8
- 54 Pandur as a transport and command vehicle
- 6 Pandur as ambulance vehicles
- 220 Dingo 2 (option for additional 132 vehicles)
- 440 Iveco LMV (including armor kits for 120 vehicles / option for a further 400 vehicles / replacement for the VW Iltis )
- MILAN - anti-tank missiles
- Mistral - anti-aircraft missiles .
The Belgian army no longer has any battle tanks . The last shot from a Leopard 1 main battle tank was fired on September 10, 2014 by Major General Hubert de Vos at the Bergen-Hohne military training area.
