Auguste Émile Bellet
Auguste Émile Bellet (born April 2, 1856 in Châteaubriant , † February 14, 1912 in Neuilly-sur-Seine ) was a French painter .
Life
Auguste Bellet was born as Auguste Ange Marie Belet, the son of Théodore Belet and Angélique Ménard.
He began his painting apprenticeship around 1875 in Alexandre Cabanel's studio at 36 Rue de Turbigo. He began his studies on August 14, 1877 at the École des beaux-arts de Paris with Alexandre Cabanel and Jean-Paul Laurens .
From 1884 he exhibited in the Salon des artistes français . In 1885 it received an honorable mention.
On July 24, 1890, he married Zéphirine Émilie Victorine Toutain. The couple had a son from 1882.
After his death in 1912, a retrospective was dedicated to him as a posthumous honor in the Salon des artistes français.
