Auguste Impose (born June 18, 1997 in Le Locle ) is a Swiss ice hockey player of Congolese descent. The attacker is under contract with HC Siders .

Player career

Impose, whose parents come from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and applied for asylum in Switzerland in 1989, began his career at HC Les Ponts-de-Martel before moving to HC La Chaux-de-Fonds . At the age of 14, Chris McSorley brought him to Genève Futur Hockey , the junior division of Genève-Servette HC, in 2011 .

Auguste Impose in August 2016

During the 2014/15 season, Impose made his first appearance for Genève-Servette in the National League A (NLA) and, thanks to a loan agreement with HC Ajoie in the National League B (NLB), gained additional match practice in the men's division.

In the 2015/16 season he played in Canada and wore the jersey of the Remparts de Québec in the Ligue de hockey junior majeur du Québec . During this time he “ learned a lot, got to know a different ice hockey culture and a different mentality, ” said Impose in spring 2016.

After his time in Canada, Impose returned to Genève-Servette for the 2016/17 season and continued to play for Ajoie to gain additional experience in the NLB. His contract with Genève-Servette expired in summer 2018. He switched to HC Siders .

National team

Impose was used for the Swiss junior national teams from the U16 age group through to the U20. At the U18 World Cup in 2015, he reached the quarter-finals with Switzerland.
