Auguste Meyer
Auguste Meyer ( 1861 in Oberammergau - February 10, 1929 ) was a German opera singer ( soprano ).
Life
Meyer was at the Mannheim Court Theater from 1883 to 1886, at the Kassel Court Theater from 1891 to 1892 and at the Poznan City Theater from 1896 to 1897 . During this time she lived as a guest in Berlin between engagements . In 1896 she appeared at the Bayreuth Festival as "Ortlinde" in Die Walküre . Above all, she was considered a talented Wagner interpreter, but not only had a large repertoire on stage, but also at concerts.
After finishing her stage work she worked as a singing teacher in Berlin.
