Auguste Rogivue (born April 13, 1812 in Saint-Saphorin , † April 24, 1869 in Lausanne , resident in Châtillens and Saint-Saphorin) was a Swiss politician .

Rogivue studied at the University of Lausanne , the law and licensed in 1839. He received in 1842 the bar exam and was then as a lawyer in Lausanne operates. From 1843 to 1846 he worked as an examining magistrate, from 1846 to 1850 as a cantonal judge. From 1845 he also took on a teaching position at the University of Lausanne. From 1847 to 1851 he was associate professor for Roman law and from 1852 to 1858 associate professor for civil law . Then he was rector from 1855 to 1858 .

From 1841 to 1845 Rogivue was a councilor in the canton of Vaud and was elected to the city ​​council of Lausanne in 1842 . From June to December 1853 he was a Councilor of States . Rogivue decided to focus only on teaching from 1854. In 1858, however, he resigned from his functions for health reasons. However, he was a member of the Vaud Bar Association from 1855 until his death.

In addition, Rogivue was a member of the Belles Lettres in 1826 and of the Zofingia in 1829 .
