Auguste Serrure (born November 2, 1825 in Antwerp , † December 2, 1902 in Schaarbeek ) was a Belgian genre and history painter.

He studied at the Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten van Antwerpen with Ferdinand de Braekeleer , Gustave Wappers and Mathieu Ignace van Brée . His fellow students included Louis Van Kuyck, Edouard Hamman, Jozef Janssens de Varebeke and Sebastiaan Pittoors.

He married Paulina Ratinckx on July 7, 1856 in Antwerp. He was awarded a prize in the Antwerp Salon in 1861. He also participated in the exhibitions of the Brussels Salon in 1863 and 1864 and in an exhibition in London in 1874.

He devoted himself to genre and history painting from the life of wealthy society, mostly in costumes of the 17th and 18th centuries, in the style of Charles Baugniet and Alfred Stevens .
