Augustinus Karl Wucherer-Huldenfeld

Augustinus Karl Wucherer-Huldenfeld OPraem (born July 1, 1929 in Gleinstätten ) is an Austrian theologian and philosopher .

Life

He is a canon and priest and has been a member of the Geras Abbey since 1956 . From 1974 to 1997 he was Professor of Christian Philosophy and Mysticism and Head of the Institute for Christian Philosophy at the Catholic Theological Faculty of the University of Vienna . His main research interests are atheism research and Daseinanalysis . Erwin Waldschütz, who died early, is one of his most important students .

From 1990 to 2002 Wucherer was President of the Austrian Society for Analysis of Life (ÖGDA) and from 1997 to 2001 he was also President of the International Ferdinand Ebner Society. He has been an emeritus since 2002 and continues to teach at the University of Vienna and at various universities of applied sciences.
