Aunt Sally

Aunt Sally was a punk band from Japan that was active in the late 1970s. In addition to the creative minds Phew (vocals) and Bikke (guitar, vocals), members were Kataoka (bass), Takashi Maruyama (drums) and Mayu (keyboard).

In addition to numerous original compositions, the band's repertoire also consisted of cover versions such as My Generation by The Who or Blitzkrieg Bop by the Ramones (both included on the 2001 album Live 1978–1979 ).

Singer Phew later became better known when she worked with DAF , the Einstürzende Neubauten , Anton Fier and musicians from Can .
