Anton Fier (born June 20, 1956 in Cleveland , Ohio) is an American drummer , record producer , composer and band leader.

Fier belonged to the bands The Lounge Lizards and The Feelies . He was also a member of the formation The Lodge with John Greaves , worked with the band Pere Ubu , the formation Voidoids and founded the band Golden Palominos . With her he has released eight albums so far (2008). In the course of his career, Anton Fier has worked with John Zorn in his band Locus Solus, Bill Laswell , Hüsker Dü , Jack Bruce , Carla Bley , Arto Lindsay , David Moss , Phew , Buckethead and with singer, songwriter and guitarist Bob Mold . Anton Fier also forms the rhythm section of the Tony Scherr Trio with bassist Rob Jost .

As a music producer he worked for the albums Strange Scars (2008) by Julia Brown, The Great American Bubble Factory (2009) by Drivin 'n' Cryin ' , Orange (2010) by Jim Campilongo and Man with No Country (2013) by Todd Clouser.
