Rob Jost

Rob Jost (* around 1980) is an American jazz and studio musician ( double bass , electric bass , ukulele , French horn ).

Jost worked in the New York music scene from the 2000s a. a. with Björk ( Volta , 2007), Imogen Heap , Jesse Harris , he also played in the reggae-ska band Skavoovie and the Epitones , in the Saturday Night Live Band and in the Sesame Street Band. In the field of jazz he played a. a. with Michael Blake ( The World Awakes , 2006), Kevin Hays ( New Day ), Joe Fiedler and Elizabeth Dotson-Westphalen , as horn player with Jamie Leonhart and Leah Paul . He plays in Tony Scherr's trio (with Anton Fier ); He also volunteered to teach French horn in youth camps in Haiti and was involved as a musician in various film scores.
