Viewpoints

Taché became a close ally of President Emmanuel Macron . viewed.

In May 2018, Taché supported a move to apply the bioethics law to homosexuals and women living alone in order to give these groups access to artificial insemination at the expense of state health insurance. That was one of Macron's campaign promises.

In early 2018, Taché was one of several LREM members who formed an unofficial working group on Islam , initiated by Florent Boudié , to support legislation to improve the organization and financing of Islamic religious practice in France. In 2019 he was one of the five members of the LREM parliamentary group who joined a non-partisan initiative to legalize the trade in and use of cannabis.

In 2018, under the leadership of Taché, Hugues Renson and Matthieu Orphelin , around 20 members of the LREM group formed a group that promoted the desire to achieve a more humanistic, social and ecological orientation of politics and the concerns and wishes of the citizens to take more seriously. This initiative was widely seen as the creation of a left wing in the group, and in May 2020 he joined a group of seven LREM parliamentarians who left the group and joined the newly formed Écologie Démocratie Solidarité , giving the President his lost absolute majority in parliament. In June he and five other former members of the LREM faction announced the formation of #Nous Demain , a "humanist, ecologically oriented, feminist" movement.

Conflict with Blanquer

In October 2019, Taché publicly criticized his then parliamentary group colleague and Minister of Education Jean-Michel Blanquer in an interview with Le Point on his position on the right of women to wear a hijab when accompanying their children to school. Thereupon Blanquer complained to the parliamentary group executive committee about Taché and demanded his reprimand.
