Aurel Boroș (born November 30, 1922 ) is a former Romanian football player . The goalkeeper played a total of 100 games in the Divizia A .

Career

The career of Boros started in 1940 at Universitatea Sibiu in the Divizia A . There he was a regular goalkeeper in the 1940/41 season . After the season the league operation was interrupted due to the Second World War and he only played with his club in the Romanian Cup . There he stood with his team in the cup final in 1942 , but lost to Rapid Bucharest there with 1: 7.

After the war ended, Boroș joined CFR Timișoara in 1947 . With CFR he was in the 1947/48 season as a substitute goalkeeper runner-up behind ITA Arad . In the 1948 cup final, he and his team lost 3-2 to the same opponent. In the following season he was number one between the posts, but could not build on these successes with his club. In the 1954 season he was only used twice and ended his career. From 1958 to 1961 he played three more years for CFR in Divizia B , but missed promotion to the House of Lords.

National team

Boroș played two games for the Romanian national team . He made his debut on September 30, 1945 in the first game after the Second World War against Hungary and lost with his team 7-2. Then he was not considered for more than three years and came on May 8, 1949 in a 2-1 win against Poland for his second and last assignment.
