Friedrich Feederle

Friedrich Feederle (born July 3, 1825 in Hammereisenbach , † July 1, 1869 in Karlsruhe ) was a German architect and builder .

Life

Friedrich Feederle was the son of the hut manager Valentin Feederle and Adelheide von Engelberg. He did his training in Donaueschingen and at the Polytechnic Karlsruhe . Feederle was a student of Heinrich Huebsch . In 1852, after having passed the building test, he was accepted into the building internship. From 1851 to 1853 he worked for Hübsch in the construction of the Karlsruhe court theater . In 1855 he was the site manager for the restoration of the western front with the dome and towers of the Speyer Cathedral . In 1862, Hübsch, whose health was badly damaged, commissioned him to complete the ribbon of the "Early Christian Churches". In the same year, Feederle was appointed district building inspector in Lörrach .

From 1863 until his early death he held the position of archbishop's master builder as the first board member of the newly founded archbishopric building office of the Archdiocese of Freiburg in Karlsruhe.
