City structure

Voehrenbach

The city districts are officially named by the prefixed name of the city and separated by a comma , the word "district" and the name of the respective district. The districts are spatially identical to the formerly independent municipalities of the same name. The core city and the three districts form residential districts in the sense of the Baden-Württemberg municipal code and in the three districts there are localities under local law with their own local council and mayor as its chairman.

The Neu-Fürstenberg castle ruins and the Krumpenschloss are located in the Hammereisenbach-Bregenbach district .

War memorial

history

In 1244, Vöhrenbach received city rights from the Counts of Urach as a competitor to Villingen. However, the city never came close to reaching the importance of Villingen. In 1806 the city became part of the newly founded Grand Duchy of Baden .

In the course of the municipality reform in Baden-Württemberg, Hammereisenbach-Bregenbach was incorporated on July 1, 1971, and Langenbach and Urach on December 1, 1971.

When Karl-Heinz Schneider applied for a fourth term in 1997, his challenger Robert Strumberger won. Robert Strumberger has also been re-elected twice.
