Karl Kraut (politician)

Karl Kraut (born August 18, 1889 in Hockenheim , † February 1, 1968 in Offenburg ) was a German administrative officer and politician ( BCSV , CDU ).

Life

After attending secondary school, Kraut joined the middle justice service and worked from 1904 to 1918 at various local courts and in the Ministry of Justice of the state of Baden . From 1918 to 1931, when he was retired for health reasons, he was mayor of the city of Vöhrenbach . From 1940 to 1945 he worked at the District Office in Offenburg.

Kraut became district administrator in 1945 and served as mayor of Oberkirch from 1946 to 1947 . He joined the BCSV, which later became the Baden regional association of the CDU. From 1946 to 1947 he was a member of the Advisory State Assembly of the State of Baden and from 1947 until his resignation on December 30, 1947, a member of the Baden State Parliament . For him moved Friedrich Brüstle by the parliament. From 1955 to 1959, Kraut was chairman of the Stockach CDU district association .
