Bernward Janzing

Bernward Janzing (* 1965 ) is a freelance working German journalist . He is among others in the following subject areas involved: energy and energy technology , renewable energy , more efficient use of limited resources , sustainably -oriented investments , climate protection , mobility and transport , the history of technology .

Career

At the age of 16, Janzing wrote his first article for a local newspaper. He received the Scheffel Prize for his German Abitur . From 1987 to 1993 Bernward Janzing studied geography , geology and biology at the University of Freiburg (including a year abroad in Glasgow ) and completed his studies with a master's degree . Janzing was already working as a freelance author during his studies.

The course was followed by an internship at the Badische Zeitung from 1993 to 1995 , which included training positions at the German Press Agency (dpa) and the Academy of the Bavarian Press (ABP) . After completing his training, Janzing began to work as a freelance journalist and at the same time worked for several months at Stern (1995), taz (1999), Financial Times Deutschland (FTD) (2000), Spiegel (2006).

Janzing wrote or writes for the Badische Zeitung, Die Tageszeitung , Die Zeit , Frankfurter Rundschau , Handelsblatt , Heise online , New Scientist and Technology Review , among others .
