The Auster Glacier is a 3 km wide glacier in the East Antarctic Enderbyland . It flows in a north-westerly direction into the south-eastern foothills of the Amundsen Bay .
Participants in a company led by the German-Australian geologist Peter Wolfgang Israel Crohn (1925-2015) as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions sighted the glacier for the first time in October 1956. It is named after an aircraft from the British manufacturer Auster Aircraft , which was used to explore the coast was used in the target area of the research trip.
