Dobbeln is a district of the Lower Saxony community of Söllingen in the Helmstedt district .
geography
Dobbeln lies in a hollow between the Elm in the north and the Heeseberg in the south above the Kreitelbach . This passes the village south. Neighboring towns are Ingeleben in the west , Jerxheim in the south, Söllingen in the south-east and Twieflingen in the north . The latter is located southwest of Schöningen. The place is predominantly agricultural.
history
Mill properties belong to the place. One of them, the Tetzelmühle, is said to have been named after an indulgence merchant .
On March 1, 1974, Dobbeln was incorporated into the neighboring municipality of Twieflingen , which in turn merged with Ingeleben and Söllingen on November 1, 2016 to form the new municipality of Söllingen.
