The Austråttgården is a corridor and an old farm in the municipality Ørland in Fylke Trøndelag , which is used in summer for cultural events. The total area of the corridor is 1,500 Mål . The fields and the outbuilding of Austråttgården were formerly used for agriculture by Austråttborgen . Austråttgården is the remaining large area that used to belong to the estate and the Austrått manor .

In 1919 the Norwegian state took over the Austråttborgen mansion and its park. In 1935 the municipality of Ørland bought the remaining land on the estate, today's Austråttgården. From 1947 to 1988 the administration of Fylke Sør-Trøndelag in Austråttgården planned to build an agricultural school without knowing that the land and the farm were still owned by the municipality of Ørland. After these plans proved to be unfeasible, the municipality rented Austråttgården to a non-profit foundation, the board of which was appointed by the municipal administration.

The farm runs every year in the summer season, especially in August it is the scene of several cultural events, markets, etc. organized by the foundation. The Waldorf schools from Fosen , Ørland and Bjugn partly use the agricultural land and the buildings for teaching and educational purposes in agriculture and crafts. In the barns of the farm there is a private museum of local history with a collection of old tractors, agricultural machines and household goods.

The Norwegian Scout Association ( Norges speiderforbund ) had its national annual meetings in 1997 and the international organization 4-H for children and young people in Austria in 2008. In 2012 the foundation was dissolved by the municipality of Ørland and some buildings and parts of Austråttgården were newly rented to private organizers who continue the cultural traditions.

Austråttgården was designated as Tusenårssted by the Ørland Municipality .
