The magazine Australian Mammalogy is a zoological journal , which as the official magazine of the Australian Mammal Society is published. The magazine has been published since 1972 with the 34th issue in 2012, currently it is published twice a year.

The journal covers all subject areas of mammalian research on mammals in the Australasian and Antarctic regions, with a focus on both native and introduced species. The journal is peer-reviewed and articles can contain original results as well as reports on the mammal species of the region.
