Autenried is a district of the municipality of Günzach in the Swabian district of Ostallgäu .
geography
The village of Autenried is about one kilometer south of Günzach.
history
Autenried is first mentioned as Utenried in 1271 and was part of the Kipfenberg rule, with which Autenried came to the Kempten monastery in 1353 .
The Kempten monastery in Autenried in 1526 had five subjects, in 1714 there were four, and in 1804 only one.
In 1935, a Roman villa rustica was uncovered on the property of farmer Egger .
Attractions
The Catholic Chapel of St. Michael is located in Autenried . It was built in 1856 by the farmer Höbel, the altarpiece was made by the painter Kaspar from Obergünzburg .
The old chapel from the 16th century is no longer preserved.
