The Werntal motorway triangle is the southern starting point of the A 71 on the A 70 . The motorway triangle is in the area of the municipality of Bergrheinfeld in the district of Schweinfurt , southwest of Schweinfurt in Bavaria .
The Werntal triangle was opened to traffic in 2006. Like the entire A 71, known as the "Thuringian Forest Motorway", it belongs to the German Unity Transport Project No. 16 and connects southern Germany with Thuringia . The Schweinfurt / Werneck motorway junction , which connects the A 70 with the A 7 , is just 7 km to the west .
