Aviron Bayonnais Football Club is a French football team from the Basque city of Bayonne in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department .

It is one of 16 departments of the sports club Aviron Bayonnais founded in 1904 ("Aviron" means "rowing"); the football department was not established as FCG until 1935 . The club colors are light blue and white. The league team plays at the Stade Didier Deschamps , which has a capacity of 3,500 seats.

The club's president is Lausséni Sangare; the first team is currently being trained by Erwann Lannuzel.

League affiliation

Bayonne has never had professional status and has therefore not played first class ( Division 1 , renamed Ligue 1 since 2002 ); In 2012, the first team from the national to the fourth class CFA and in 2013 relegated to the fifth division. But currently plays again in the National 3 .
