Aymeric Laporte (born May 27, 1994 in Agen ) is a French football player who has been under contract with the English first division club Manchester City since January 2018 .

Aymeric Laporte, whose grandparents are Basques , was born in Agen in southwest France and played in the football department of local SU Agen from the age of six to 15 . After only one season with Aviron Bayonnais , he moved to the youth academy of Athletic Bilbao and came to work in its farm team CD Baskonia and its B-team. He made his debut for the professional team in the group game of the Europa League against the Israeli club Hapoel Ironi Kirjat Schmona , in which he played 90 minutes. His debut in the Primera División followed a few days later, on December 9, 2012 (15th matchday) in a 1-0 home win against Celta Vigo , with a substitution in the 90th minute for Ander Iturraspe . Since Laporte knew how to convince in his following 14 league appearances, he received a contract valid until 2015 before the turn of the year.

Laporte was also set under the new coach Ernesto Valverde , sometimes even as a left full-back . With the goal to 1-0 in the 8th minute on October 28, 2013 (10th matchday) in the away game against FC Getafe , he not only scored his first goal in the Primera Division, but also the winning goal of his team.

On January 29, 2018, Laporte moved to Manchester City in the English Premier League for a transfer fee of 70 million euros .

Laporte played international matches for the U-17, U-18, and U-19 national teams for the FFF , before his goalless draw against Germany on August 13, 2013 in Freiburg , with a substitute for Valentin Eysseric in 84. Minute, debuted in the U-21 national team.
