Philippe Sandler (born February 10, 1997 in Amsterdam ) is a Dutch football player . The center- back is under contract with Manchester City .

He comes from the youth of Ajax Amsterdam . He made his debut in the Eredivisie on August 13, 2016 in the game against Sparta Rotterdam .

For the 2016/17 season he moved to PEC Zwolle with a three-year contract . After just two years, Sandler moved to the British club Manchester City after a transfer fee of 2.6 million pounds had been agreed between the clubs .

As a result of a knee injury, he was out from summer to October 2018. Then he was only in a league game of the first team in the squad, but did not actually play there either. Only in the other competitions and in the U23 team did he play a few games for Manchester.

For the 2019/20 season, Sandler switched to the Belgian first division club RSC Anderlecht for a year on loan , to which his former teammate at City, Vincent Kompany , had also changed as player manager at the beginning of this season . Due to a knee injury, he will play his last league game on October 4, 2019. All in all, he was only on the pitch in eight league and two cup games for RSC Anderlecht until the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic . At the end of the season he returned to Manchester.

In 2017, Sandler played four international matches for the Dutch U20 national team in the U20 Elite League.
