Bernardo Mota Veiga de Carvalho e Silva (born August 10, 1994 in Lisbon ), Bernardo Silva for short , is a Portuguese football player . The right winger is under contract with Manchester City and is a Portuguese international .

Career

Bernardo Silva played for Benfica Lisbon when he was young . After the end of his senior years, he moved up to the squad of the second team that plays in the Segunda League . On August 10, 2013 he made his debut in a 0-0 draw against CD Trofense . He scored his first goal on September 23, 2013 in a 3-1 win over Sporting Braga B for a 3-0 lead in the 51st minute. On May 10, 2014, he came to his only appearance for the first team in the Primeira Liga in the 1: 2 defeat against FC Porto .

For the 2014/15 season he was awarded to AS Monaco in Ligue 1 . In January 2015, the Monegasque committed Silva and provided him with a contract with a term until June 30, 2019. With the club he won the French championship in the 2016/17 season and reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League .
