Joven Alba (born August 24, 1969 ) is a Filipino pool and snooker player .
Career
Pool
At the 8-ball world championship in 2007 , Joven Alba was eliminated in the preliminary round. In 2010, however, he reached the quarter-finals, which he lost to Darren Appleton . At the 9-ball World Cup of the same year, he was eliminated in the round of 64. At the 8-Ball World Cup 2011 , Alba came back to the quarter-finals and lost to Appleton there. In April 2011 he finished seventeenth at the Beijing Open, and in June he was eliminated in the round of 64 at the 9-ball World Cup . In 2012, Alba was eliminated from both the 8-ball World Cup and the 9-ball World Cup in the round of 64.
snooker
Alba also took part in some snooker tournaments. In 2000 he reached the quarter-finals of the amateur world championship and in 2005 the quarter-finals of the snooker competition of the Southeast Asian Games .
