Ander Iturraspe Derteano (born March 8, 1989 in Abadiño ) is a Spanish football player who has been active for the first division club Athletic Bilbao since January 1, 2009 .

Career

Iturraspe began his career in the youth team at CP Matiena before joining the youth team at Athletic Bilbao in 1999 . In 2007 he moved up to the squad of the second team, but was given for one season on a loan deal to the third division CD Baskonia . After the loan period ended and after scoring 30 league games in which he scored, he returned to Bilbao the following year . From July to December 2008 (also again in the 2009/10 season) he was used for Athletic Bilbao II in the 2nd division and moved up to the first team at the beginning of the year. He made his debut in the Primera División - still as a second division player - on September 14, 2008 (2nd matchday) in a goalless draw in the away game against FC Málaga ; in the 75th minute he was substituted on for Ion Vélez . He scored his first league goal on August 28, 2011 (2nd matchday) in a 1-1 draw in the home game against Rayo Vallecano with the opening goal in the 56th minute.

By reaching the finals for the Copa del Rey , the club qualified for the Europa League . Iturraspe made his debut at European club level there on August 20, 2009. In the Europa League qualifier, in the 3-2 win against Norwegian representatives Tromsø IL , he came on for Francisco Yeste in the 80th minute . With a sixth place in the Primera División 2010/11 he qualified with Athletic for the Europa League 2011/12 . Iturraspe reached there with his club after Siegen u. a. the final of the European Cup via Manchester United , FC Schalke 04 and Sporting Lisbon , but lost to Atlético Madrid in the final .

National team

On May 30, 2014 Iturraspe made his debut in the senior national team , which won 2-0 in a test international against Bolivia in Seville .
