Francisco Javier Yeste Navarro (born December 6, 1979 in Bilbao , Spain ), Yeste for short , is a Spanish football player.

Career

Yeste began his football career in 1991 with his hometown club Athletic Bilbao , where he developed into one of the best youth players in Spain. In 1999 he was U20 World Junior Champion with Spain .

Francisco Yeste made his breakthrough in the first team of the traditional Basque club Athletic Bilbao in the 2000/01 season and has been a regular since then. The left foot is versatile in the offensive. His root position is in the left midfield. In recent years, due to his game intelligence and excellent passing game, he has also increasingly taken on the role of the central game designer and thus became a key player for his team. Yeste is also used on the right wing, as a hanging tip or as a central striker.

After a year in the United Arab Emirates , the Spaniard moved to Greece to Olympiacos Piraeus . The contract was terminated after only six months in the winter break of 2011/12. Yeste is currently without a club.
