Mikel Balenziaga Oruesagasti (born February 29, 1988 in Zumarraga ) is a Spanish football player . He has been playing for Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish first division since 2013 .
Career
Balenziaga began his career at Real Sociedad San Sebastián , where he only played for the third division team. In 2008 he moved to Athletic Bilbao . He made his first division debut on Matchday 2 in 2008/09 against FC Málaga . In 2009 he was loaned to the second division CD Numancia . In 2011 he moved to the second division Real Valladolid , with whom he rose to the first division in 2012. In 2013 he returned to league rivals Bilbao.
