Daniel "Dani" García Carrillo (born May 24, 1990 in Zumarraga ) is a Spanish football player .

Career

García moved from Real Sociedad's youth to Alicante FC in 2009 . In March 2010 he made his debut for Alicante in the Segunda División B when he was in the starting line-up against the B-team of Valencia CF on the 29th matchday of the 2009/10 season and was replaced by Pucho in the 86th minute.

After relegation from Alicante in the Tercera División 2011 García moved to the 2011/12 season for the B team of Getafe . For Getafe B he completed 36 games in the Segunda División B that season, in which he remained without a goal.

For the 2012/13 season he returned to Real Sociedad, but was awarded directly to the third division club SD Eibar for two years . His first goal in the third-highest Spanish division, he scored in January 2013 in a 4-0 win by Eibar against CD Tudelano . With Eibar he rose to the end of the season in the Segunda División . He made his debut in this in August 2013 against Real Jaén . In 2014 he was promoted to the Primera División with the club .

For the 2014/15 season García was permanently committed by Eibar. He made his debut for the Basques in the top Spanish division in August 2014 against Real Sociedad. In a 2-0 win against FC Elche in September 2014, he scored his first goal in the Primera División. At the end of the season he had 34 appearances in the league, in which he scored one goal. In the following three seasons he always played at least 32 of the 38 season games at Eibar.

After more than 130 first division appearances for Eibar, he moved to league rivals Athletic Bilbao for the 2018/19 season , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2022.
