Real Jaén is a Spanish football club from the city of Jaén , Andalusia . In the 2019/20 season, the club will play in the Tercera División .
history
The association was founded on June 12, 1929 as Sociedad Olímpica Jiennense . In 1942 the club reached the Tercera División for the first time and on September 5, 1947, the club finally adopted the current name Real Jaén . The team experienced the most successful era in the 1950s, when the club reached the Primera División three times ( 1953/54 , 1956/57 , 1957/58 ).
