Player career

Born in Madrid, he started his career as a professional footballer in his hometown at Atlético Madrid . In the summer of 1999, the midfielder was appointed to the B-Team Atléticos, which was playing second class at that time. Although he was under contract with Atlético for a total of eight years, he was rarely used for the Rojiblancos . Zahinos was loaned to various second division clubs four times.

First he was loaned to FC Universidad Las Palmas , then to Real Jaén . With Jaén, however, he also descended from the Segunda División . For the 2003/2004 season he was awarded to FC Elche , for the second half of the 2006/2007 season to Albacete Balompié . In the meantime, Zahinos was no longer allowed to be awarded by Atlético Madrid , so that he joined the Andalusian first division club Recreativo Huelva in the summer of 2007 .
