Axel Arens

Axel Arens (* 1939 ; † 1986 ) was a German journalist .

Life

Axel Arens was born as the son of Hanns Arens and Odett Arens-Maucler. His parents were among other things hosts of the " Group 47 " at Oberherrlingen Castle near Ulm. In 1954 he had two appearances as a young actor in the films The Flying Classroom and Love Letters from Mittenwald .

In 1985 he was awarded the Egon Erwin Kisch Prize for his work "Manhattan, Brooklyn and Bronx: God but lives in California" in FAZ magazine .
