Hanns Arens

Hanns Arens (born April 18, 1901 in Schwabstedt ; † September 10, 1983 in Munich ) was a German writer, editor, publisher and critic.

Life

Arens was a lecturer a. a. for Insel-Verlag and Kindler . He also developed a lively activity of publishing his own books on literary topics early on. In the early 1950s he moved to Munich, where he lived until his death. He was the father of the writer Axel Arens .

Hanns Arens was one of the discoverers and sponsors of Karl Heinrich Waggerl in the late 1920s . In his publications he also dealt particularly with Stefan Zweig and since he lived there with the city of Munich.
