Axel Bühler (born February 13, 1966 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German politician on the Green Alternative List (GAL) and a former member of the Hamburg Parliament .

Life

Axel Bühler attended school in Saarland and Hanover. He then graduated from high school in Karlsruhe. This was followed by a degree in physics at the University of Hamburg . During this time he worked as an IT consultant and specialist translator.

politics

Bühler came to politics through church youth work, the peace movement and student self-government. He joined the GAL in 1995.

He was a member of the Hamburg Citizenship for the GAL in the 16th electoral term from 1997 to 2001. For his parliamentary group he took on the role of energy policy spokesman and sat on the Committee for Europe and Town Twinning, the Environment Committee, the Budget Committee and the Economic Committee.

Similar to Joschka Fischer , who appeared in the Hessian state parliament in 1985 in sneakers and thus caused a stir, Bühler appeared in short trousers in 1999 in the citizenry. The action had no further aftermath, but was not repeated either.
