Axel Büring (born July 12, 1967 in Meppen ) is a German volleyball coach.

Career

Axel Büring played volleyball at USC Münster since 1978 as a teenager . Since 1990 he has been a coach at USC Münster, from 1994 he coached the women's volleyball Bundesliga team at USC until 2015 (with an interruption in 2001/02) , with which he won numerous national and international titles. In the meantime he was also the national coach of the women's national team in 1998/99 . After a serious leg injury in January 2013, Büring had to take a break until May 2013.

Büring has been training the third division men of TSC Münster-Gievenbeck since 2016 . Since 2017 he has been employed again as sports director at USC Münster.

Personal

Axel Büring has been married to the former volleyball player Andrea Berg since 2017 , with whom he also has a daughter since 2016. In addition, Büring has a daughter from his first marriage.
