Axel Görlach

Axel Görlach (born 1966 in Kaufbeuren ) is a German author and poet .

life and work

Axel Görlach first studied pedagogy in Nuremberg , followed by a study of philosophy and modern German literary history in Erlangen and Hagen, then a study of German as a foreign language and Turkish in Nuremberg and Istanbul. His poems have received various prizes and have been published in numerous anthologies (including Versnetze 10-12) and magazines (including Erostepost , Concepts , The Muzzle , Metamorphoses , Ostragehege ). He also works as a photo artist. Today he lives as an author of poetry and as a language teacher for foreign young people and refugees in Nuremberg.

  • 2008 - Wiener Werkstattpreis (1st prize), winner of the literary competition of the literary magazine Kontro-Vers, Heidelberg (1st prize), winner of the Literaturpodium-Lyrikwettbewerb, Berlin (1st prize), winner of the literary competition “Sculpture Path Kaufbeuren - to the sculptures of Artist and sculptor Rudl Endriß ”, Kaufbeuren
  • 2010 - Prize winner at the XII. Irseer Pegasus (3rd prize)
  • 2011 - Finalist at the 4th Wartholz literature competition
  • 2013 - Nomination for the 1st reading for the Munich Poetry Prize, winner of the Blaues Blatt literary competition
  • 2014 - Feldkircher Poetry Prize (1st prize)
  • 2019 - Nomination for the Polly Prize for political poetry, winner of the poet competition of the Pegnese Order of Flowers (1st prize)
