Axel Rückert

Axel Rückert (born August 23, 1946 in Berlin ) is a German manager. He was CEO of the wireless communications company " debitel ".

Life

Axel Rückert completed his Abitur at the French grammar school in Berlin . As a teenager he was a track and field athlete. After studying political science at the Free University of Berlin and the University of Cologne , he wrote his thesis in economics .

He began his professional career at " Klöckner-Werken " in Duisburg and as a product manager at " Henkel " in Düsseldorf , after which he took on management positions in the consumer electronics division of " Philips ", at the French computer manufacturer " Bull " and at IT - Service provider " Getronics ". He then worked as a consultant at McKinsey for ten years .

Before Rückert in July 2006 was CEO of "debitel" he was in the same company heads of branches in France and in the Netherlands . As CEO, he was specifically responsible for the corporate strategy, regulation, human resources and corporate communications departments. The international corporate activities, network operator management as well as purchasing and logistics were also part of his area of ​​responsibility. On December 1, 2007 he was replaced by Oliver Steil.

Rückert is married and has four children. He is a member of the French Legion of Honor .
