Getronics is an international company in the information and communication sector . The company specializes in workplace management services. It is currently represented in 13 countries and has customers in over 90 countries worldwide. The headquarters of the organization, which was founded in 1887, is in Amsterdam , the Netherlands . Getronics has over 6,000 employees worldwide.

In 1999, Getronics took over Wang Global and renamed it Getronics North America . In 2008 Getronics North America was sold to CompuCom .

In 2005 Getronics expanded to include security programs through the acquisition of PinkRoccade and RedSiren.

In 2006 the Getronics subsidiaries in Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic were taken over by the Austrian Kapsch Group and integrated into the respective regional Kapsch companies (in Austria into Kapsch BusinessCom AG).

In 2007, Getronics (Germany) was taken over by KPN .

In 2012 Aurelius AG bought the company. In September 2014 Aurelius took over Individual Desktop Solutions GmbH (IDS) from T-Systems and integrated the company as Getronics IDS GmbH.
