Oßfurt (also: Odisfurt / Osforthe / Osforde / Osfurt / Ausfahrt) is a desert between Wendelstein and Memleben in the municipality of Kaiserpfalz in the Burgenland district in Saxony-Anhalt .

history

In the tithe directory of the Hersfeld monastery, which was created between 881 and 899 , Oßfurt was mentioned in a document as one of the ten compulsory places in Friesenfeld, along with the neighboring desert of Meginrichesdorf (Meginrichesdorpf), Memleben (Mimileba) to the south and Roßleben (Rostenleba) to the west . From 1157 the Cistercians of the Pforte monastery built a grangie with wine, forest, meadows, pastures and fishing waters in and around the village . In the course of this, the place Odisfurt was demolished together with its parish church St. Andreas. Up to the 13th century, the Osforthe farm comprised an agricultural area between the Unstrut river , the Ziegelroda forest and the desert areas of Meginrichesdorf, Kleinmemleben and Garsdorf. In the last few centuries only a spring bubbling out of the middle of the field called Odisfurdisbrunno or exit reminded of the place .
