Axel von Normann

Axel von Normann (born March 22, 1760 ; † 1835 in Franzburg ) was a Swedish head of the regiment and later a Prussian major general.

Life

Carl Axel Hugo von Normann was the eldest son of Heinrich Christoffer von Normann (* 1731), colonel in the Psylanderhjelm regiment in Stralsund , and his wife Britta Christine Wetterwall.

Axel von Normann became the chief of the royal Swedish body regiment of the queen ( Drottningens livregemente till fot ), the later Prussian fusilier regiment "Queen Victoria of Sweden" (Pomeranian) No. 34 . When Swedish Pomerania came to Prussia through the Congress of Vienna in 1815 , Normann entered the Prussian service as major general.

His first marriage was to Johanna Friedericke Ramstahl and his second marriage to Maria Amalie Luhde. His second son from his first marriage, Carl Heinrich Bogislaf (born June 16, 1787 in Stralsund) became a lawyer and was married to Gustava Justina Caroline Wilhelmine Ziemssen (1797–1866), daughter of the theologian Johann Christoph Ziemssen .
